Purpose
pakpolitics.com/ publishes political history and civic information in a neutral, evidence-led and accessible form. We aim to explain rather than campaign.
Core standards
- Accuracy: factual claims should be checked against primary or authoritative sources wherever practical.
- Neutrality: language should not praise, ridicule or demonize a party, institution, community or public figure.
- Attribution: contested claims, allegations and interpretations must be attributed to identifiable sources.
- Separation: fact, analysis and opinion must be visibly distinguished.
- Context: numbers, court decisions and political events should be placed in their historical and legal setting.
- Corrections: material errors are corrected transparently and promptly.
Profile writing
Party and leader profiles should cover origins, ideology, electoral record, governance, constitutional role, support base, achievements claimed, criticism and political significance. The same headings and evidentiary standards should be used across major parties.
Prohibited and unsuitable material
- Unverified allegations presented as fact.
- Hate speech or sectarian content.
- Graphic violence without exceptional public-interest justification.
- Copy-pasted newspaper or copyrighted content.
- Thin, automated filler written only to attract search traffic.
- Disguised political advertising or paid advocacy.
Authorship and updates
Every substantive article should display an author or editorial desk credit, a short author biography where appropriate, a last-reviewed date, sources and related reading. Time-sensitive claims must be rechecked before an article is republished or promoted.
